This component of the project would involve laying aerial optical fiber across the State so that the State, Districts, Mandals and Villages are connected with each other using ring topology, as much as possible. In addition, last mile connectivity will be made available through a network of Local Cable Operators that have the capability to provide bandwidth.
Optical fiber shall be laid primarily along the electricity pole network under the jurisdiction of EPDCL and SPDCL. This would involve :
1. Verification and optimization of routes, designed based on GIS survey
2. Laying of optical fiber
The total length of aerial fiber to be laid across the State is estimated to be around 22,500 KM. This would comprise State Ring, District Rings, Zonal Rings and Mandal Rings.
The network route diagrams for the entire state and also individually for each of the 13 districts showing various layers of rings and the identified locations of PoPs
