Job Description:

AP State FiberNet Limited (APSFL) is seeking a Assistant General Manager (Accounts & Finance) to assist in overseeing the company’s financial operations. This role focuses on managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, supporting loan management, and aiding the General Manager in driving financial strategy and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance

2. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets, assisting with variance analysis and forecasting

3. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards

4. Assist in the preparation of tax returns (GST, TDS, etc.) and ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns & statutory payments.

5. Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and support cash management activities to ensure operational liquidity

6. Support the General Manager in loan acquisition, repayment management, and compliance with financial covenants

7. Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring all audit requirements are met and addressing audit findings

8. Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights for decision- making

9. Assist in the development and improvement of processes related to tax, MIS, and secretarial functions to enhance operational efficiency

10. Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and fostering a collaborative work environment

Job Specifications:

1. Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA / ICWAI or MBA Finance from premier Institute

2. Overall 12+ years of experience in accounting and finance

Desired Skills:

1. Proficiency in applicable Accounting Standards / Taxation

2. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis

3. Strong understanding of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and tax regulations

4. Strong communication, interpersonal & drafting skills to manage correspondence across departments

This role will focus on driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives

2. Oversee the procurement process from vendor selection to contract negotiation and order fulfilment

3. Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials and services

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and establish specifications for goods and services

5. Supervise the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operations, including inventory

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, and  performance management

2. Implement HR and administrative policies in line with organizational objectives and statutory  compliance

3. Lead workforce planning, organizational restructuring, and succession planning initiatives

4. Manage establishment operations, including employee records, transfers, promotions, retirements, and service documentation
